Al Roker, the beloved weatherman, has been notably absent from TV after a serious health scare involving blood clots that first formed in his thigh and then traveled to his lungs, necessitating hospitalization. In a deeply emotional tweet, Roker shared his journey toward recovery, expressing gratitude for the exceptional care he’s received and the outpouring of support from fans.

Known for his candidness about his health battles, Roker has previously opened up about his fight with prostate cancer and surgeries for both hip and knee issues. Despite these challenges, he has remained remarkably active, even completing the Brooklyn Half Marathon.

His “Today” show colleagues, including Hoda Kotb, Dylan Dryer, Craig Melvin, and Savannah Guthrie, have been vocal in their support, praising Roker’s upbeat attitude throughout his recovery.

Two months after his hospitalization, Roker made his return to the “Today” show.
