
Officials in Montgomery, Alabama have confirmed a mass shooting that left at least 14 people injured and two dead after gunfire erupted during a late-night gathering. The terrifying incident took place shortly after midnight, sending residents running for cover as police and emergency responders rushed to the scene.
According to preliminary reports, the shooting occurred near a residential block where dozens had gathered for what witnesses described as a “street party.” Chaos unfolded as multiple shots rang out. Officers arriving on the scene discovered several victims suffering from gunshot wounds, with some in critical condition.
Montgomery Police Chief Darryl Albert confirmed that at least two of the victims have died, while others are receiving treatment at nearby hospitals. “This was an absolutely tragic and senseless act of violence,” Albert said. “We are following multiple leads and ask the community for any information.”
