Donald Trump has warned we’re ‘not so far away’ from World War Three but reassured why it’s ‘not going to happen’
The US Army has officially opened a cutting-edge facility designed to enhance the military’s air defense capabilities, following the successful testing of an unarmed missile.
On February 20, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held at the McAlester Army Ammunition Plant in Oklahoma, marking the launch of the state-of-the-art Theater Readiness Monitoring Facility (TRMF). This new facility is set to support the US Army Aviation and Missile Command, the Security Assistance Management Directorate, Non-Standard Missile Systems, and the HAWK missile system.
The TRMF will play a crucial role in the testing, recertification, assembly, and repair of the HAWK missile, a vital air defense asset that has proven its value over the years. The facility’s opening symbolizes a continued commitment to safeguarding the future through innovation, collaboration, and dedication to global security.
This new milestone follows closely on the heels of a recent unarmed missile test conducted in Santa Barbara County, California, underscoring the US Army’s focus on enhancing its defense capabilities.

On February 12, the US Air Force conducted a successful test launch of an unarmed Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile from Vandenberg Space Force Base, marking another significant milestone in the nation’s defense capabilities.
Acting Secretary of the Air Force Gary Ashworth emphasized the importance of the test, stating, “Today’s Minuteman III test launch is just one of the ways the Department of the Air Force demonstrates the readiness, precision, and professionalism of US nuclear forces. It also provides confidence in the lethality and effectiveness of the nation’s nuclear deterrence mission.”
This demonstration of military strength comes on the heels of heightened concerns over global conflict, with US President Donald Trump issuing a stark warning about the potential for World War III. As tensions rise, the test serves as a reminder of the US’s commitment to maintaining a strong and effective nuclear deterrent.

On February 19, during the Future Investment Initiative Institute Priority Summit in Miami, former President Donald Trump made a bold statement regarding global conflicts. Quoted by NDTV World, he said, “Around the world, I’m moving quickly to end wars, settle conflicts, and restore the planet to peace. I want peace, and I don’t want to see everybody being killed.”
Trump continued, reflecting on ongoing global crises, particularly the violence in the Middle East and the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war. “Take a look at the death in the Middle East, and the death that’s taking place between Russia and Ukraine… We’re going to end it,” he stated. “There’s no profit for anyone in having World War III, and you’re not so far away from it, I’ll tell you right now, you’re not so far away.”
He further claimed that under President Joe Biden’s administration, the world could have been on the brink of World War III, asserting, “If we would have had his administration for another year, you would have been in World War III, and now it’s not going to happen.”
