Social media users noticed someone lurking behind President Donald Trump in the pic
A photo of President Donald Trump gripping a model of the world’s fastest airliner has gone viral, but not for the reason he probably would have hoped.
In a captivating image from the Oval Office, a beaming President Trump holds a model of Boom Aero’s Overture One, signaling the upcoming replacement of his presidential jet with this groundbreaking aircraft. Often referred to as the “son of the Concorde,” the Overture One is setting new standards in aviation. Earlier this year, its XB-1 prototype made waves by breaking the sound barrier, reaching an astonishing 844 mph—83 mph faster than the speed of sound, which travels at 761 mph.
Boom Aero’s founder and CEO, Blake Scholl, took to Twitter to share exciting news, writing: “By popular demand, THIS very special Overture One model is now available for pre-order in the @boomaero Merch store! And these models are made in America!”
Among his tweets, Scholl received a few questions, including one that asked: “Will this aircraft be manufactured in the U.S.A?”

Scholl quickly responded with an enthusiastic, “Of course!” when asked whether the Overture One would be manufactured in the U.S.A.
Another eager customer asked, “I have one on order. Any estimate on shipping date?” Scholl, likely referring to the model of the jet rather than the actual aircraft, replied, “July. We are trying to speed it up.”
However, the real buzz surrounding Scholl’s Twitter post wasn’t about the Overture One’s pre-orders—it was about an unexpected detail spotted in the background of Trump’s Oval Office picture.
While the usual décor—photos of past presidents, vintage furniture, flags, and a statue of someone’s head—was present, keen-eyed observers zoomed in on something far more curious. If you look past the ear grazed by a bullet during one of the Republican’s assassination attempts last year, you’ll spot Elon Musk staring back through a mirror. Yes, the tech mogul himself, caught in a reflective moment.

It only took one sharp-eyed person to zoom in, screenshot, and comment on the peculiar detail in the background of Trump’s Oval Office picture, and the internet went wild. The Tesla CEO’s unexpected reflection quickly became the center of attention, sparking a flood of reactions from amused and confused users alike. One person even labeled Musk’s hidden presence as “sinister.”
Another user echoed the eerie sentiment, typing, “That is so creepy.”
Someone else quipped, “Mirror, mirror on the wall, who’s the actual president of them all?”
A playful comment read: “@elonmusk go home bro or at least stop photobombing the president.”
And a final comment simply said, “Jumpscare!”
While Musk’s reflection raised eyebrows, it wasn’t just his eerie cameo that had people talking. As the co-lead of the Department for Government Efficiency (DOGE), Trump jokingly admitted that he “settled” on Musk for the role because he “couldn’t find anyone smarter.”
