Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau aims savage five-word dig at US amid Trump’s repeated threats
“Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau didn’t hold back this week, delivering sharp criticism of Donald Trump’s recent electoral pledges. His pointed remarks have been making waves, drawing attention for their bold and unmistakable stance against the former president.”

“After making a high-profile appearance at the 4 Nations Faceoff Championship Hockey Game in Boston on Thursday night (February 19), where his team proudly celebrated a dominant win over the United States, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau dropped a devastating five-word political remark that quickly turned heads.”

“After his team’s impressive 3-2 victory, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau took to social media to both celebrate the win and throw some sharp jabs at his presidential neighbor.
In a message posted on X (formerly Twitter), Trudeau boldly declared, ‘You can’t take our country,’ a remark that quickly went viral, racking up over 206,000 ‘likes’ and nearly 36,000 ‘retweets.’ He then added, ‘And you can’t take our game without us.’ The comment seemed to be a direct response to ongoing reports that President Trump has made several remarks about annexing Canada.
The remarks come after the 78-year-old Republican candidate allegedly suggested making Canada the ’51st state.’ Team USA’s leader, Bill Guerin, revealed to The Athletic that Trump had even issued a warning to American hockey players during a call before the tournament, threatening his plans for Canada.”

“Allegations have surfaced suggesting that during a phone call, the controversial President Trump referred to Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau as ‘Governor Trudeau.’
Although these remarks seem to have been erased from official records, a snippet of the conversation was posted on Trump’s social media platform, Truth Social. In the video, the father of five praised Team USA, saying, ‘You guys are incredibly talented. As a fan of hockey, I have a great deal of respect for the athletes in the sport. I have a passion for hockey. The talent and skill that you possess are really absurd.’ He then encouraged them, adding, ‘Now is the time to go out and have a good time. I just wanted to send you my best wishes for success.’
Despite his public stance, it seems Trudeau caught wind of Trump’s jabs, as he quickly fired back with his own sharp five-word retort online.
While Trudeau is outwardly firm in his responses, some reports indicate that behind closed doors, he may be less confident about Trump’s covert ambitions. A recent meeting with business and labor leaders reportedly captured Trudeau voicing concerns about Trump’s annexation plans, calling them ‘a real thing,’ according to the New York Post.”

“After the meeting, sources told The Daily Beast that Trudeau accidentally made a revealing statement: ‘I suggest that not only does the Trump administration know how many critical minerals we have, but that may even be the reason why they keep talking about absorbing us and making us the 51st state.’
Trudeau continued, explaining that the U.S. is acutely aware of Canada’s valuable resources and is eager to capitalize on them. ‘They have a keen awareness of what we own and what we control, and they have a strong desire to take advantage of those resources,’ he said.
Trudeau then suggested that Trump understands that one of the simplest ways to achieve this would be by absorbing Canada into the U.S. ‘And this is a real thing,’ he added, emphasizing the seriousness of the situation.”
