JD Vance says the conversation with the protestors was ‘mostly respectful’
Vice President JD Vance has slammed a group of pro-Ukrainian protestors who he claims left his three-year-old daughter ‘anxious and scared’.
Tensions Rise in White House Meeting Between US, Ukraine, and Trump
Relations between the US and Ukraine have been in the spotlight recently, particularly after a tense exchange at the White House. The meeting, which aimed to discuss a potential peace deal to end Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, saw a heated back-and-forth between President Trump, Vice President Vance, and Ukrainian President Zelenskyy.
Vance didn’t hold back in the conversation, making his frustrations clear with Zelenskyy. He accused the Ukrainian leader of disrespecting both Trump and the United States, demanding that Zelenskyy show more gratitude.
“I think it’s disrespectful for you to come into the Oval Office to try to litigate this in front of the American media… You should be thanking the president for trying to bring an end to this conflict,” Vance said, adding to the already charged atmosphere in the room.

Vance Responds to Tension with Pro-Ukrainian Protesters and Reflects on Oval Office Confrontation
Vice President Vance has continued to address the growing tension between him, Ukraine, and his recent controversial encounter with President Zelenskyy. Speaking to Fox News’ Sean Hannity, Vance shared his thoughts on the infamous Oval Office meeting, expressing frustration over what he perceived as a “lack of respect” and “a sense of entitlement” from Zelenskyy during their discussion.
But Vance’s latest remarks have shifted focus to a recent personal experience with pro-Ukrainian protesters. On Twitter, he detailed an unsettling encounter while walking with his 3-year-old daughter.
“Today, while walking my 3-year-old daughter, a group of ‘Slava Ukraini’ protesters followed us around and shouted as my daughter grew increasingly anxious and scared,” Vance wrote.
Hoping to calm the situation, Vance decided to engage with the protesters, offering a few minutes of conversation in exchange for peace.
“It was a mostly respectful conversation, but if you’re chasing a 3-year-old as part of a political protest, you’re a s** person,”* he added, making it clear that he found the protesters’ actions inexcusable.
Vance had previously revealed to Fox News that he had hoped for a more private discussion with Zelenskyy, but that plan was quickly derailed during their tense Oval Office meeting.

Vance Reflects on Oval Office Tensions and Calls for Peace Negotiations
Vice President Vance continued his remarks about the now-infamous Oval Office moment, revealing further details of the heated exchange with President Zelenskyy.
“The president was like, ‘nope, actually, I don’t want to have it in private anymore. I want to have this actual conversation in public for the American people to see,'” Vance explained, shedding light on the behind-the-scenes dynamics of the conversation.
He emphasized the clear objective of President Trump’s administration: stopping the bloodshed.
“The president has set a very clear goal for his administration. He wants the killing to stop,” Vance said, underscoring the urgency of peace. “I think it’s very important that President Zelensky and of course, President Putin, too, they’ve both got to come to the negotiating table.”
For Vance, the breakdown in discussions came when Zelenskyy failed to engage in the peace process that President Trump had championed.
“I really don’t care what President Zelensky says about me or anybody else,” Vance stated, “But he showed a clear unwillingness to engage in the peace process that President Trump has said is the policy of the American people and of their president.”
Vance’s words reflect his firm stance on the need for a resolution, highlighting the continued friction surrounding peace efforts in the region.
