Grimes was not impressed after spotting her son ‘little X’ at the Oval Office and has asked for one thing amid all the coverage online
It’s been two weeks since X AE A-XII, the adorable four-year-old son of Elon Musk and Grimes, captured the hearts of viewers during a televised press conference in the Oval Office.
On February 11, Musk brought his little one into the spotlight as he discussed politics with President Donald Trump at the White House. However, it turns out the appearance wasn’t pre-approved by Grimes.
The 36-year-old singer revealed that she had no idea her son would be appearing on national television. It wasn’t until a Twitter user praised X’s politeness, also giving Grimes credit for his good manners, that she was made aware of the public moment.

One Twitter user chimed in with a compliment, writing, “Lil X was very polite today! You raised him well. He was so cute when he told DJT, ‘please forgive me, I need to pee.'”
Grimes, clearly taken aback by the unexpected public moment, replied: “He should not be in public like this. I did not see this, thank you for alerting me. But I’m glad he was polite. Sigh.”
Now, in a conversation with Time magazine, Grimes has expressed her concerns about her son’s face being widely shared online. She voiced worry over his privacy, emphasizing that such moments should not have been broadcast without prior discussion.

During a conversation with Time magazine, Grimes reflected on the online reactions to her son X’s unexpected appearance in the Oval Office, which sparked a lot of attention. Reporter Andrew R. Chow asked, “What was your reaction to that moment?”
Grimes responded: “It was like, ‘Grimes slams,’ ‘Grimes speaks out.’ It was just a reply, but honestly, I would really like people to stop posting images of my kid everywhere. I think fame is something you should consent to. Obviously, things are as they are, but I would really, really appreciate it if people respected that. I can only ask, so I’m just asking.”
Grimes and Elon Musk began their relationship in 2018 and have three children together: X AE A-XII, Exa Dark Sideræl, and Techno Mechanicus. They eventually went their separate ways, but tensions have surfaced in recent weeks. Grimes distanced herself from Musk after getting caught in the controversy when Musk was accused of making a ‘Nazi salute’ at a Trump rally, making it clear to her followers, “I am not him.”
Further revealing the strain between them, on Valentine’s Day (February 14), Grimes took to Twitter to ask Musk to address a pressing issue regarding one of their children’s health. She tweeted, “Plz respond about our child’s medical crisis. I am sorry to do this publicly, but it is no longer acceptable to ignore this situation. This requires immediate attention. If you don’t want to talk to me, can you please designate or hire someone who can, so we can move forward on solving this? This is urgent, Elon.”
