Gossip Girl star Michelle Trachtenberg has passed away at the age of 39, reports state.

The actor tragically passed away earlier today at around 8:00 AM at One Columbus Place, according to police sources who spoke with The New York Post and ABC News. While the cause of death is still being confirmed, authorities have stated that it is not being considered suspicious and is believed to be from natural causes. She was 39 years old.

An autopsy is set to be conducted to determine the cause and manner of Michelle Trachtenberg’s death. The LADbible Group has reached out to the NYPD and Trachtenberg’s representatives for further comment.

Trachtenberg’s acting career began at the tender age of three, making her debut in the Nickelodeon series Adventures of Pete and Pete, which aired from 1994 to 1996. She went on to star in various Nickelodeon productions before landing the role that would launch her into stardom: the 2004 comedy Eurotrip.

Trachtenberg’s fame soared further with her iconic roles in Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Gossip Girl. On Buffy, she played the younger sister of the titular character, Summer, earning multiple accolades, including three Saturn Award nominations and a Young Artist Award.

In Gossip Girl, she portrayed the scheming Georgina Sparks, captivating audiences with her unforgettable performance. Additionally, Trachtenberg lent her voice to the character of Judy Reilly in the adult animated series Human Kind Of, which premiered on Facebook Watch.

Her film career included starring roles in Ice Princess (2005) and 17 Again (2009), where she appeared alongside Zac Efron.
