Justin Bieber’s reps have previously been forced to speak out amid rumors around his health
Justin Bieber has got his fans on edge after sharing a video on Instagram of himself smoking while listening to music.
Earlier this month, fans grew increasingly worried about pop star Justin Bieber after a series of recent photos showed him walking around New York City. The images quickly went viral, with many expressing concern over his appearance.
Some fans questioned his health, while others speculated about potential drug use. The rumors spread so rapidly that Bieber’s team felt the need to step in and set the record straight.
In a statement to TMZ, his representative firmly denied the allegations, saying, “The recurring narrative that Justin is using hard drugs is absolutely not true.” They added, “Justin is actually in one of the best places in his life right now.”

In addition to working on new music, Bieber is fully embracing his role as a parent to his son, Jack Blues, whom he and Hailey welcomed in August 2024. His representative shared that he has experienced a “very transformative” 12 months, during which he has distanced himself from certain friends and business relationships that no longer align with his life.
Despite these reassurances, the concerns continue. After Bieber posted a video of himself smiling and smoking what appeared to be a cigar on his Instagram story, fans flooded his posts with both support and concern. One person commented, “He needs support & help. This is so sad & more reason why this industry needs to be overhauled with better support for artists.” Another wrote, “People filming themselves smoking always feels cringe, especially when it’s Bieber.” A third fan added, “What happened to my sweet Bieber? I hope he’s doing okay.”
Bieber’s team has previously addressed the toll these rumors have taken on him, calling them “exhausting and pitiful” and noting that despite the truth being clear, some are intent on perpetuating harmful, negative stories. Bieber has had his share of health struggles, revealing in 2020 that he had been diagnosed with Lyme disease.
In 2023, he was forced to cancel the remainder of his world tour after being diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt Syndrome (RHS), a condition that had affected his health the year before.
