Elon Musk breaks silence as famous author claims she gave birth to his 13th child five months ago
The 53-year-old man has provided a response to allegations that he is the father of his thirteenth child.

Elon Musk has finally responded to claims that he fathered his 13th child with novelist Ashley St. Clair.
St. Clair, a well-known figure who gained attention in 2023 for publishing a children’s book labeled as “conservative,” stunned social media with her announcement. In a post shared on X on Saturday (February 15), she alleged that she had given birth to Musk’s child five months ago.
In a revealing article, 26-year-old Ashley St. Clair wrote, “Five months ago, I became a mother to a brand-new baby. Musk is the father of the child.”
She explained her decision to keep the news private, stating, “I have not previously disclosed this to protect our child’s privacy and safety, but in recent days, it has become clear that tabloid media intends to do so, regardless of the harm it will cause.”
St. Clair went on to urge the media to “refrain from invasive reporting and respect the privacy of our child.” She emphasized her desire for her newborn to “grow up in a normal and safe environment.”
Adding a dramatic touch to her post, she captioned a photo with the Latin phrase “Alea Iacta Est”—meaning “the die is cast.” The phrase, historically associated with irreversible decisions, suggests that the situation has reached a point of no return.

In a follow-up message shared on Musk’s social media platform, Ashley St. Clair’s representative, Brian Glicklich, reiterated the claims she had made earlier. He explained to reporters, “Ashley & Elon have been privately working towards the creation of an agreement about raising their child for some time.”
Glicklich expressed frustration over the situation, stating, “It is disheartening that a tabloid reporter, who has previously ambushed Ashley and her family on multiple occasions, is now making it difficult to complete this process discreetly.”
He further clarified, “We are waiting for Elon to publicly acknowledge his parental role with Ashley, to put an end to unwarranted speculation. Ashley trusts that Elon intends to finalize their agreement quickly, in the best interests of the wellbeing and security of the child they share.”

If St. Clair’s claims are proven true, Musk might just be giving the Cheaper by the Dozen cast a serious run for their money.
However, when the SpaceX mogul finally addressed the situation, he didn’t exactly claim the five-month-old child as his own. In fact, Musk’s response was a single word: “Whoa.”
His brief reply came in response to a tweet by far-right activist Milo Yiannopoulos, who accused St. Clair of having “planned for half a decade to ensnare” Musk. According to The Daily Mail, St. Clair later posted a response to Musk’s comment (which has since been deleted), explaining that she had been “trying to communicate” with him for several days but hadn’t received any response.
Musk’s history as a father includes a tragic loss in 2002 when he and his then-wife, Justine Wilson, lost their first child, a son named Nevada, who passed away at just 10 weeks old. They later went on to have five more children: twins Vivian and Griffin, now 20, and triplets Kai, Saxon, and Damian, now 19.

In addition to his previous children, the billionaire is also a father to three kids with musician Grimes. The couple shares two sons—X Æ A-Xii (pronounced “X Ash A Twelve”) and Tau Techno Mechanicus—as well as a daughter, Exa Dark Siderael. The latter two children were born via surrogacy.
Musk is also the father of twins named Strider and Azure, born in June 2021 with Shivon Zilis. These twins arrived a bit before Exa, and in 2024, Musk welcomed a third child, whose name has yet to be revealed.
