The professionals stated that, in their view, “Trump is falling concerningly short of any standard of fitness for office and displaying alarming characteristics of declining acuity.” They noted that, nearing 80 years old, aging naturally brings cognitive changes that can affect one’s ability to handle complex situations, even though many elderly individuals remain highly functional.
