A tragic accident in Ogden Canyon on Saturday claimed the lives of Richard David Hendrickson, the esteemed CEO and president of Lifetime Products, and his 16-year-old daughter, Sally.
According to the Utah Highway Patrol, the heart-wrenching crash occurred when a bulldozer, being towed by a truck, broke free and crashed onto the family’s pickup truck, killing both Richard and Sally instantly. The incident unfolded as the tow vehicle, pulling the bulldozer around a sharp right-hand curve, lost control, sending the heavy machinery tumbling onto Hendrickson’s GMC.
Both Richard and Sally were pronounced dead at the scene, while two other adult passengers in the vehicle suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Lifetime Products, in a heartfelt tribute, remembered Richard Hendrickson not just as a leader, but as a figure who profoundly impacted the company and the lives of those around him.
