Five-year-old Noah Woods is being celebrated as a true hero after saving his entire family of nine from a devastating house fire.
It was a Sunday morning in 2020 when Noah woke up to find flames raging in his bedroom. Without hesitation, he grabbed his 2-year-old sister Lily and the family dog, then made a daring escape through the only exit — a window. Once outside, he didn’t stop there. Determined to save everyone, Noah rushed back into the inferno to alert his uncle and ensure the rest of the family could flee to safety. Thanks to his incredible quick thinking and courage, all nine family members escaped unharmed. While Noah and a few others were treated for minor burns and smoke inhalation, none sustained serious injuries.
Though the fire, caused by an electrical fault, destroyed their home, Noah’s heroic actions ensured his loved ones survived. In honor of his bravery, the Bartow County Fire Department named him an honorary firefighter and awarded him a Lifesaving Award.
“If it wasn’t for Noah, we may not be here today,” said his grandfather, David Woods. “He saved all our lives.”
