Sharon Osbourne Reveals Devastating Truth On Ozzy Osbourne, And We Are Devastated

Ozzy Osbourne’s Long Road Home: The Rock Legend Still Trying to Leave L.A.

After more than two decades in Los Angeles, rock icon Ozzy Osbourne stunned fans in August 2022 by announcing that he and wife Sharon were ready to leave Hollywood behind and return to their roots in the United Kingdom.

But nearly two years later, the move still hasn’t happened.

On a recent episode of The Osbournes Podcast, which aired Tuesday, July 16, the couple addressed the lingering question: What’s taking so long?

“We’re trying to get on a flight,” Ozzy, now 75, said with a touch of dry humor, responding to a fan inquiry.

Sharon, 71, quickly jumped in to explain the delay: Ozzy’s health.

The Black Sabbath frontman has faced a grueling medical journey, revealing earlier this year that he’s endured seven surgeries in the past five years, including his fourth spinal surgery in 2023. He was also diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease back in 2003 and continues to work closely with specialists to manage its symptoms.

“It just seems like every time we’re ready to go, something happens with Ozzy’s health,” Sharon said. Still, her tone remained hopeful. “We’ll get there. We want to go back so bad. Won’t we, Ozzy?”

“Yeah,” he replied, as Sharon gently echoed his resolve. “We will.”

But Ozzy’s health isn’t the only reason behind the couple’s long-awaited departure.

In a candid 2022 interview with The Observer, Ozzy opened up about his deep frustration with life in America, citing gun violence and political chaos as key reasons for wanting out.

“Everything’s f—ing ridiculous there,” he said bluntly. “I’m fed up with people getting killed every day. God knows how many people have been shot in school shootings. And that mass shooting in Vegas… It’s f—ing crazy.”

Then came the line that shook fans:

“I don’t want to die in America. I don’t want to be buried in f—ing Forest Lawn. I’m English. I want to be back. It’s just time for me to come home.”

Sharon agreed, saying the country they once called home has changed beyond recognition:
“America has changed so drastically. It isn’t the United States of America at all. Nothing’s united about it. It’s a very weird place to live right now.”

According to The Observer, the Osbournes originally aimed to return to the UK in February 2023, rejoining their extended family, including children Kelly, Jack, and Aimee, as well as Jessica and Louis from Ozzy’s first marriage to Thelma Riley.

But for now, the prince of darkness remains in limbo — caught between two continents, and two worlds.

One thing is certain: the Osbournes haven’t given up on going home.
