GOP’s Blackburn Reveals Why Schiff, Dems Fear Kash Patel As FBI Director

Blackburn: Democrats Fear Kash Patel Because He Knows “Where the Bodies Are Buried” on Russia Hoax

Tennessee Senator Marsha Blackburn said Democrats are terrified of the idea that Kash Patel could one day lead the FBI—because he knows exactly what they did during the Trump-Russia investigation.

In an interview with Fox News’ Charlie Hurt, Blackburn singled out California Democrat Adam Schiff, accusing him and others of fearing exposure if Patel were in charge. “They are very fearful of Kash Patel because he knows what Adam Schiff and others did to push the Russia collusion narrative,” Blackburn said. “He knows the dirt on them. They’re afraid of what he might uncover and reveal to the American people.”

Hurt agreed, emphasizing Patel’s commitment to government transparency: “One thing Kash Patel is devoted to is bringing sunlight to what’s happening in Washington,” he said. Blackburn nodded, then turned to a broader point about how former Democrats like Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard are enraging the Democratic establishment by working with conservatives.

“They hate it,” Blackburn said. “They’re furious. And they punish them—by withholding votes, stalling nominations. But RFK Jr. is going to do a great job at HHS.”

She added, “He’s going to help us find the 300,000 missing children that the Biden Administration has ignored. I’ve been trying to get answers since the number was 75,000. RFK will go in, clean up CMS with Dr. Mehmet Oz, and work with Dr. Marty Makary to reform the FDA. He’ll also collaborate with Dr. Jay Bhattacharya at NIH to bring truth and transparency to public health.”

Blackburn stressed that Americans still want answers about the COVID-19 pandemic: “People want to know what really happened with COVID—and I think now we finally will.”

Bhattacharya, a Stanford professor and outspoken critic of the government’s COVID response, gained national attention as the lead plaintiff in Murthy v. Missouri, a Supreme Court case alleging social media censorship by the federal government. Although the case was ultimately dismissed in a 6–3 ruling, it spotlighted Bhattacharya’s central role in the free speech debate.

Trump has said that Bhattacharya, if confirmed to lead the NIH, will work closely with RFK Jr. “to direct the Nation’s Medical Research and to make important discoveries that will improve health and save lives.”

As for Patel, his credentials are steep. A former federal prosecutor, he was appointed senior counsel on counterterrorism for the House Intelligence Committee in 2017, then later served as senior director at the National Security Council’s Counterterrorism Directorate.

He previously worked alongside then-Rep. Devin Nunes during the GOP’s investigation into the Russia probe, playing a central role in uncovering alleged FBI misconduct. Patel was also the architect of the 2018 Nunes memo, which accused the FBI of abusing surveillance powers in targeting a Trump campaign aide.

Now, Blackburn says, Democrats are afraid the truth is about to come out.
