Bizarre way secret service are ‘disguising themselves’ to watch Barron Trump during freshman year on campus

The President’s 19-year-old son is ushered into his university via Secret Service convoy from Trump Tower

Barron Trump’s entourage of Secret Service officials are apparently going the extra mile to try to blend in while watching the student on college campus.

It’s freshman year at NYU’s prestigious Stern School of Business—but for the 19-year-old son of the President, college life is anything but typical.

Barron Trump’s daily routine is more high-security than highlighters and homework. Each morning, a fleet of blacked-out Secret Service SUVs whisks him from Trump Tower, cruising through Manhattan with the help of NYPD escorts and bus lane clearances. His destination? A discreet, unmarked garage that leads straight into campus—no paparazzi, no delays, no detours.

While his classmates might be figuring out the subway or rushing between classes with coffee in hand, Barron slips through back doors and secured corridors. And when the day winds down and most students head off to parties or late-night study sessions, Barron’s back on his seamless route home—emerging from another hidden entrance and sailing uptown in presidential style.

But the security motorcade is just the beginning of what makes Barron’s college experience uniquely surreal. Despite his efforts to fly under the radar and blend in with the NYU crowd, the President’s son is under constant watch—not just by his ever-present Secret Service detail, but also by curious classmates who can’t help but do a double take.

In an effort to keep things low-key, his security team has traded in the traditional suits and shades for something a bit more… campus casual. Think jeans, NYU hoodies, and sneakers—an undercover look designed to help them fade into the student body while still keeping a watchful eye on their high-profile charge. With around five agents shadowing his every move, Barron’s walk between classes feels more like a carefully choreographed operation than a typical college stroll.

Even in a city known for its anything-goes vibe, Barron Trump stands out—and not just for his last name. The bilingual freshman reportedly gets little to no privacy. According to The Daily Mail, his ever-vigilant Secret Service detail even escorts him to the restroom. And forget grabbing a slice in the campus dining hall—he’s never been spotted eating there.

Kaya Walker, the former president of NYU’s College Republicans, once told Vanity Fair that Barron is “sort of like an oddity on campus,” noting simply, “He goes to class, he goes home.” Her comments sparked a wave of backlash, ultimately leading to her resignation from the group—but she’s far from the only one who’s noticed the surreal nature of Barron’s college life.

Sources recall one night when Barron tried to enter a bar in NoHo, just blocks from campus, only to be turned away for failing to provide proof that he was 21—despite his recognizable face. And when a fellow student invited him to shoot some hoops, Barron seemed interested… but didn’t follow through. “It felt like he wasn’t really allowed to do stuff,” the student said.

Rather than hitting the campus social scene, Barron reportedly opts for downtime that’s a little more low-key—and a lot more virtual. A fan of soccer and a loyal Arsenal supporter, the President and First Lady’s son is said to unwind by playing FIFA online with friends, blending his love for the sport with some much-needed escape from his hyper-watched reality.

Kaya Walker also shared her unease with the media frenzy that followed Barron’s arrival on campus. When he first joined in the fall, students rushed to snap covert photos, flooding social media with sightings and stirring a level of buzz more fitting for a celebrity than a freshman. Walker argued he deserves a shot at a normal college experience—even if his last name makes that nearly impossible.

Still, despite the bodyguards and the closed-off routine, some classmates claim Barron has a certain quiet charisma. According to PEOPLE, he’s gained a bit of a reputation as a “ladies’ man” on campus. “He’s tall and handsome. A lot of people seem to think he’s pretty attractive — yes, even liberal people like him,” one student admitted. But not everyone’s buying the hype. Another classmate quipped, “He’s hardly here long enough to chat with anyone, let alone flirt.”
