Trump Blasts TIME Magazine Over ‘Worst Ever’ Photo of Him

Former President Donald Trump is receiving widespread praise for his unexpected success in helping to broker a historic ceasefire between Israel and Hamas — a diplomatic achievement being hailed as a turning point in Middle Eastern relations. TIME Magazine, in its latest cover story titled “His Triumph”, acknowledged Trump’s role in negotiating the deal. The article highlighted the behind-the-scenes efforts led by Trump, his son-in-law Jared Kushner, and special envoy Steve Witkoff, who spent weeks in talks with key international leaders.

The agreement, signed in Cairo, included commitments from more than 20 global leaders, including representatives from Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey. One of the key outcomes of the deal was the release of hundreds of Palestinian prisoners, signaling a major step toward regional stability. However, despite the magazine’s overall positive coverage, Trump’s reaction focused heavily on the cover photo that accompanied the story. Writing on Truth Social, Trump said, “TIME Magazine wrote a relatively good story about me, but the picture may be the Worst of All Time.”

He criticized the angle of the photo, which was taken from below against a bright sky, saying it gave the illusion that his iconic blond hair had disappeared. “They ‘disappeared’ my hair, and then had something floating on top of my head that looked like a floating crown, but an extremely small one. Really weird!” he wrote. He went on to add: “I never liked taking pictures from underneath angles, but this is a super bad picture and deserves to be called out. What are they doing, and why?” The photo, though seemingly symbolic, touched on a sensitive subject for Trump. For years, his hairstyle has been a topic of public speculation and media fascination.

While some experts, including cosmetic surgeon Dr. Gary Linkov, have suggested Trump may have undergone hair restoration procedures, the former president has consistently denied any cosmetic work. “It’s my hair. I don’t wear a toupee. I swear,” he has insisted in past interviews. In contrast to his dissatisfaction with the image, Trump expressed appreciation for TIME’s acknowledgment of his efforts to end the conflict. In an interview during the peace summit in Egypt, he told the BBC, “I’m good at solving wars. I’m good at making peace.” The article praised the peace deal as a potential highlight of Trump’s political career and a significant achievement of his second presidential term.

Trump’s relationship with TIME Magazine has been complicated for decades. He first appeared on the cover in 1989 and was named Person of the Year twice. Still, he has frequently clashed with the outlet, once calling their “100 Most Influential People” list a “joke”, and criticizing them for not selecting him as Person of the Year in 2015. This latest incident adds to that rocky history — showing that even when praised, Trump is never one to let a detail like a photo go unnoticed. While the world watches the potential long-term impact of the Israel-Hamas agreement, Trump has once again managed to make headlines — this time not only for global diplomacy, but also for his hair.
